Context of the role:
The role of process engineer is to ensure the efficiency, safety and quality of the development and operations of green H2 projects of VoltH2 and its affiliates. Supporting business- and investment decisions in developing Green Hydrogen production, the process engineer has a crucial role in the quality of design of our H2 production facilities.
The Process Engineer will:
- Create, configure and develop industrial processes (PFD, P&ID, PEFS)
- Develop documents with requirements and specifications for tender process EPC/equipment suppliers
- Reviewing and analysis proposals of suppliers and EPC contractors
- Analysis of specifications of suppliers and equipment at process system level
- Appraise, measure and analyze processes, process control architecture and principles together with process automation engineers
- Search for best practices and innovative solutions which could improve production and quality rates at highest availability and efficiency rates
- Complete process simulations
- Keep time and budget limitations in check
- Execute risk assessments (RI&E and HAZIP/HAZOP)
- Create and manage process documentation and operating instructions
- Work in conjunction with all plant engineering disciplines, R&T and customers to support new products and new manufacturing technology platforms in operations
- Develop and implement metrics to monitor and improve performance of processes
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team of professionals for holistic approach
- Special projects and duties as required
Your profile:
- Experience as a process engineer – at least 5 years of experience.
- Masters degree or equivalent in engineering or similar.
- Experience in designing a chemical production facility
- Interest in the Green Energy and having the drive to be part of the energy transition
- Knowledge and application of safety methodology and reviews (Process Hazards Analysis, Layers of Protection Analysis, etc.), including safeguarding.
- Experience with plant changes and Management of Change process.
- Able to work in project-teams
- Stress resistant
- Working knowledge of relevant legislation, codes and standards
- Extensive knowledge of Ms-Office and relevant specialist systems
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organisation
- Strong project focus and effective use of consultative approach
- Fluent in English
- A teamplayer with a “Can do” attitude and humour
